The Restes De Traces project created and curated by Eladio Aguilera was born as a result of Diamètre15's curatorial residency at the Tour Orion in Montreuil. This project takes advantage of its location to talk about these semi-inhabited and semi-abandoned spaces where the body still feels, is still present. In the same way that we enter an empty kitchen and it still smells of food, here we can feel this presence from its equivalent in the office or post-capitalist workspace.
This project has a strong theatrical and fictional component. The scenery and the distribution of spaces will be an important part of the exhibition discourse. That is, the exhibition design as a narrative-curatorial way. The exhibition will be built in 3 large spaces on the sixth floor of the Tour Orion.
The narrative of the project speaks of these intermediate spaces of late capitalism such as empty and emptied office buildings, such as the Tour Orion, which lose their original purpose and become latent spaces, still warm, but with hardly any real trace of human presence. However, the little trace that remains between boxes, fabrics, tables, chairs, and objects that seem abandoned, tell us a story with dystopian airs and strangled by the contemporary view. It means, objects and traces that become a work of art for what seems to have been possessed by the passage of time, as a sort of maturation, and the death of modern thought.
